Description
Indications or Uses
- Cleanse and sanitize the rectum, colon, or vagina.
- Reduce rectal or vaginal irritations and inflammations.
- Aid in the elimination of fecal impactions.
- Treatment method for introducing medications or radiopaque substances (medical diagnostics).
- Pre-operative and post-operative preparations, rectoscopy, sigmoidoscopy (intestinal examination using endoscopic techniques with a probe), and/or before radiological exams.
Precautions
- Wash hands before and after administering the enema.
- Use gloves during the process.
- Follow usage instructions meticulously.
- Administer the solution to be irrigated slowly.
- Remove the probe once the solution has been introduced.
- Preferably lie on the left side during the lavage.
- Do not apply more than one enema or vaginal lavage within a 24-hour period.
- The device should not be shared; it is for personal use.
- Excessive use of vaginal douches can alter the pH of the area.
- Avoid cross-contamination; each nozzle should be used for the recommended area.
- Device components should be washed after use with surgical soap (leave in soap for 10 minutes), immerse them in hot water until it cools, rinse off the soap thoroughly, and then dry.
Contraindications
- Do not apply if you have severe or moderate kidney insufficiency, if you are dehydrated, or if you have diarrhea, or if you have had recent colon or vaginal surgeries.
- Do not use on patients under 2 years of age.
- Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Use with caution in patients with cardiac pathology.
