- Intravenous infusion of solutions, medications, nutrition, contrast media.
- To maintain hydration and/or correct dehydration when the patient is unable to take a sufficient volume of fluids orally.
- For diagnostic tests.
- Indicated according to the gauge in adults, children, the elderly, and animals.
